Immerse yourself in the authentic taste of Crete with SOPATO EVOO, presented in beautifully designed 750 ml cans of our premium, certified organic (BIO) extra virgin olive oil. Our oil is carefully harvested around Tourloti, a traditional village in the heart of the Sitia UNESCO Global Geopark, a region renowned for its wild herbs, ancient olive trees, and vibrant food culture.

What makes SOPATO special:
• Organic & BIO Certified (GR-BIO-03)
• Grown and bottled in Sitia, Crete – Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
• Harvested in the Sitia Geopark, surrounded by wild thyme, oregano, and sage
• Durable cans that protect the oil from light and heat
• Full transparency: We provide a downloadable PDF with the complete laboratory analysis of the oil, because we have nothing to hide, and you deserve to know exactly what you’re buying

Pick your favorite size, 3 L, 4.5 L or 13.5 L  and complete it with one, two or three of our signature 200 ml Sopato stone bottles (they come empty) perfect for gifting or your own kitchen.

From my Hands to Yours

You help farmers like me here in Crete — we still carry our olives up the hill by hand. No shortcuts, just honesty and tradition.

No heavy machines, no shortcuts, just hard work

Unlike the endless olive groves of Spain or Italy, where one person and big machines do the job, harvesting in Sitia, Crete is a whole different story. The steep, rocky terrain makes it impossible for heavy machinery—but that’s nothing George and his trusty 1994 VW Taro can’t handle. No shortcuts, no easy way out—just hard work, tradition, and the pursuit of incredible olive oil.

Sopato Christmas Giveaway – Official Rules

Why Olive Oil Is Usually Filtered

Olive oil is usually filtered to remove small olive particles and water that can cause defects over time. Careful filtration helps keep extra virgin olive oil clean, stable, and true to its original taste.
