Our certified organic extra virgin olive oil from Crete. The olives come from our groves around Tourloti, a small village in the Sitia UNESCO Global Geopark, in the east of Crete. Around the trees grow wild thyme, oregano and sage.
What makes Sopato special:
• Certified organic (GR-BIO-01)
• Protected Designation of Origin: Sitia Lasithiou Kritis PDO
• The cans protect the oil from light and heat
• Full lab analysis of the oil as PDF, so you know exactly what you buy
New: Field 07 Edition. George’s favourite pick of the season: early harvest oil, pressed separately and rich in polyphenols. It comes in our original 500 ml clay bottle.
Pick your size: 3 L, 4.5 L or 13.5 L in cans, and add Field 07 bottles if you like. You can also order Field 07 on its own.

No heavy machines, no shortcuts, just hard work
Unlike the endless olive groves of Spain or Italy, where one person and big machines do the job, harvesting in Sitia, Crete is a whole different story. The steep, rocky terrain makes it impossible for heavy machinery—but that’s nothing George and his trusty 1994 VW Taro can’t handle. No shortcuts, no easy way out—just hard work, tradition, and the pursuit of incredible olive oil.
Certified Quality
Our olive oil is proudly BIO certified, PDO from Sitia Geopark, and approved by Agrocert Greece — trusted proof of its organic, pure, and authentic Cretan origin.
